Bio
The day wakes up and eats itself.
Starting from the horizon and making its way up to the moon it devours the darkness and deposits slim silvery lines of sun across the starlit sky.
It wanders along an arch of clouds like a salamander scuttles through the muddy outline of a puddle. When it reaches the final horizon it becomes caught on a line of ground or sea, and by its weary feet is pulled slowly under the surface. It silently sinks until its cheeks are bloated blue as the face of a drowned sailor.
The earth then consumes the day with gnashing teeth, and waits for hours again until out of the ashes the day returns to feed upon its end.
